Assess peptide quality and batch documentation

Assessing quality means more than reading a percentage. A useful quality document must demonstrably correspond to the correct product and batch, and clearly indicate which characteristic was actually examined.

First, verify the batch match

Compare the product name, quantity or strength, batch number, test date, and report number. If any of these details are missing, treat the report as incomplete until the link has been confirmed.

Identity is not the same as purity

An identity test examines whether the expected molecule is present. A purity test assesses the ratio between the main component and measured impurities within the selected method. Neither automatically proves sterility, freedom from endotoxins, or suitability for human use.

Read the method and the result

Check which method was used, which sample was received, and whether the result was reported numerically or only qualitatively. Also pay attention to any laboratory reservations.

Publish responsibly

Publish only the complete, valid report for the correct batch. Avoid general statements such as every lot tested when complete and up-to-date coverage does not exist.
