Semax (Pro7-ACTH(4-7)) is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of the ACTH(4-10) fragment, developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In scientific literature, it is studied in the context of neurotrophic factor expression (BDNF, NGF), dopaminergic and serotonergic neurotransmission, and neuroplasticity research in animal models. Not approved as a medication by the EMA. Peptidera supplies it solely as a research compound.
